Human trafficking sting in Portland leads to 7 arrests
PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Seven people were arrested in Northeast Portland after a human trafficking operation.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, police targeted Portland’s Northeast 82nd Avenue. Police say that prostitution runs “rampant” throughout that area.
Police say the suspects range in age from 23 to 59 and are from Beaverton, Clackamas, Gresham, and Portland.
Each of the suspects is charged with commercial sexual solicitation, prostitution, procurement, or both. Two other people were arrested on other charges.
