Pune cops arrest man from Mumbai for sale of women in Saudi
Pune police arrested a man from Mumbai, Mohammed Faiyaz Ahmed Yahya, for his alleged involvement in trafficking women to Saudi Arabia. Yahya, 28, from Oshiwara, was arrested in Mahim for “selling” women for Rs 4 lakh each after promising them jobs in Saudi Arabia. The victims, three women from Pune, were rescued after suffering physical and mental abuse in Riyadh and Hafar Al Batin. The Maharashtra State Commission for Women intervened, helping bring them back to India. Yahya has been charged under several sections of the Indian Penal Code.
