Introduction to Computers & Information Technology
The course “Introduction to Computers and Information Technology” is a 20-hour program, designed to be taught in two-hour sessions per week. The course content is divided into three main parts:
Computer Fundamentals:
- Exploration of basic concepts about computers, input and output devices, data storage, and system software.Activities related to using operating systems and understanding software.
Applications:
- Analysis of applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, presentation and multimedia programs. Practices and activities focused on the use of these applications.
Communications and Networking:
- Basic concepts of communications, networking, the Internet, the web, and messaging systems. Focus on online safety, employability skills, and preparation for the IC3 exam, globally recognized as the standard for digital literacy.
